You want to see something happen to oil prices, open our own country to drilling again. The second the legislation passed to open Alaska and the coasts back up, the current price--based on speculation, not true costs of production--would drop by at least thirty dollars.

The usual: pretty much dismissing nuclear power (apparently the only energy concept considered unworthy of Federal subsidies), penalizing the energy producers, creation of a new "energy czar," and government micromanagement of the entire industry at every level. Think "Synfuels."
Most of it is just gas. If she had included "develop a working fusion power plant by 2020," it would have been no different from dozens of similar statements in the policy.
