That was precisely WHY the press conference was held and why disclosure is being pressed for. So that the government will release it's files and scientists and investigators alike can question the evidence presented.

The stigma surounding any serious "study" in this country has been fostered by a counter-intelligence group that set out to contradict witnesses claims by attacking the messenger and message, all the while holding tightly onto those unexplained cases that threatened our national security. They couldn't prevent these objects from piercing into our air space or shutting down our nuclear weapons bases. They couldn't identify how it was done, who was responsible, therefore the final conclusion was it was swamp gas or the planet Venus and any journalist or witness was either ridiculed or intimidated to keep quiet.

Your comment about ufos being evidence of some sort of extraterrestrial visitation to our planet as just a "delusion", sounds like you have settled for their "explanation" of something that very well COULD be evidence of the same. Without the US coming clean with it's classified files on ufos, as other countries around the world have done, we'll remain in the dark, ....maniplulated and ridiculed by the powers-that-be that clutch all information tightly to accomplish their own ends.
Even if this one is to say they are not all that omnipotent and can protect us from everything, like some Big Daddy in the sky They already try and control us with religion.
What we need to do is see their evidence and make our own conclusions.
You can't study anything in a vacuum, under ridicule with no information, especially if it is being done to control an outcome of some sort. Even if that outcome is embarrassment.
