his main objective is getting the government to release UFO documents that he is convinced exists, and to educate the people sufficiently to question the veracity of the government. For every *pro* Stanton website there is a *con* website opposing his views and writing him off as a fringe dweller.
One must read BOTH sides of any controversy and decide for themselves.
Once educated in arguments for and against...then is the time to extrapolate. Not everyone is privy to the knowledge that scientists are so it is very important for us to explore and understand what facts truly exist. We owe it to ourselves to be empowered in what really *is.* Hoaxes of all genres, sadly enough, are a fact of life and are sadistically pandemic in the internet age. People, in their need to be instantly gratified, peripherally read just enough to become dangerous...without exploring all the angles. They find the validation they require because they go into the subject matter with a sub-concious bias and have their psuedo *aha!* moment substantiated.
I know. I was one of those.
I still intrinsically know that UFO's exist....but to what capacity is the question I now ask.
This is for those of us who are completely open to the phenomenon, but have not had a close encounter...
To garner legitmacy and to be taken seriously, we must not go off half-cocked, ill informed, and over zealous to the point we exclude glaring discrepencies offering up alternative expanations/possibilities.
We must keep our wits about us, and avoid wishful thinking if we are to find the truth.
