Just to show I'm serious...

podrock — 1/23/2008 10:57:16 PM (archived)

...here's a quick bunch o' links from my updated bookmark file on this:

San Diego seen from Yuma, NM.

a good overview of mirages and discussion of atmospheric optics. As a weapon???? (not taking this guy too seriously, but what if the atmospheric lens (AL) above TX was artificial ??????)

Looming

temperature inversion

Min-Min lights explained...with picture! This is the guy your people should talk to.

Marfa Lights. Hey, This is from Texas!

add Colorado Springs to the list. By the way, the San Luis Valley in Colorado is known for UFO obs., and it happens to be a big ole mountain valley just perfect for inversions and with a straight highway running right down the middle. An ideal place for experimentation.
