I'll tell you one thing thats changed.

They are talking in 10, 15 and 20 year time frames now. 'Then' it was 'I doubt 6 months' and out by October 2003.

Sure, there has been some change. The question is can we possibly hold it, or even push it, and at what cost, for how long? We have maxxed out what we can do, and the progress is shockingly small, and absurdly less than what was prmised or anticipated..

You know I think we are there, and should stay there for as long as it takes so that we can leave without genocide ensuing. That will be a time frame in decades.

I think you are missing the point of all of this. The point of all of this is, once again, we have underperformed estimates by absurd margins. Once again, you scream 'MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! BY GOD WE DID IT!!! GO TEAM!!!'

The point of this is that it doesn't even dawn on you how wrong you are compared to just even 6 months ago, much less years ago. Once again, most of the critics were right and once again, most of the CheerLeaderSquad you perform on were wrong. As Alcary said, I would drop 90 % of my commentary on this matter if you and anyone else would just for once admit how shockingly massively totally wrong you have been for years on Iraq. Some intellectual honesty would be refreshing, and I might just listen to you again instead of poke you with a stick and watch you crow about how perfect the world you helped bring about is.
