I think I was talking about evidence of Obama's skills. That his opposition was nil was taken as a given.
As for the polls, I don't usually judge how smart someone is by how much approval they get in the polls. Do you?
I've noticed two things from the media pollsters: approval rating has been discarded in favor of "disapproval" rating so that "records" can be claimed, and that we aren't seeing approval rating questions in the polls any more about the Congress.
