The little graph tells us one thing for sure, that special interests, particularly corporate ones, will contribute to anyone who they feel will promote their interests. The edge Dems seems to have over Reps in 2008 only reflects the Dem majorities in Congress, the unpopularity of the Bush Administration, and an anticipated Democratic landslide in November. The smart money goes with the winner.
So much for the patriotism and love of liberty of the private sector. They'd contribute to Nazis and Communists if they had any influence over the purse strings.
Corporate America is free of ideology, they just follow the money. They leave the agitprop to their wannabee apologists in the middle class.
