"Ascendancy of disco"
I guess people have no idea exactly what that entails, you'd have to have lived through it back in the early 80's. It was the "hip" man's answer to the hippie drug culture. Spandex shirts, bell bottoms, rotating and flashing disco balls, the Bee Gees and Donna Summer.
Don't get me started.
Isn't Will Farrell in a recent comedy that employs the old disco music and verbiage?
Sort of like a cultural regression that makes you squirm and want to get up and dance at the same time?
I'll bet you were Mr. Cool back then ER, a real magnet on the dance floor....
