A true Star Trek fan is not called a Trekkie.
He or she is a Trekker! I have been for years. I practically had the scripts for the original series memorized I saw them so often. I knew more than the aficionados; they had the wrong answer to a trivia question about actors who had been in more than one original series episode. The actor who played the Romulan commander in Balance of Terror (I can't believe I still remember the episode name) is the one who turned up later as Spock's dad, Sarek.
I loved all the Original Series movies except V: The Undiscovered Country. Boo hiss. Bad one. My fave was IV: The Voyage Home.
