I have all sorts of books about those discussions as well. I have the records of the speeches which decried the influx of Chinese and which proceeded to put a moratorium on their entry.
Those Senators were not breaking laws they were making them. Holding them in contempt a century later while holding a rainbow placard of diversity as the all damning justification for such contempt is preposterous.
And comparing the holocaust with simple protection of our borders is great evidence to just how contrived and ridiculous the left has become in its extremes to justify the illegal immigrants lawbreaking.
Protecting our borders = holocaust.
