If there are no jobs, there's no reason to bring families. If families aren't here, then the social service needs of these families cease to be an issue. It all comes back to jobs.
Also, if the Feds are serious about enforcement, then they can do what they've done with highway money: take away Federal funds to cities and states that don't comply.
As Alaska is a sanctuary state, that would really put a cramp in its state budget, since Alaska gets a lot of Federal pork. Alaskans might even have to pay real state income taxes!
As I said previously, once the cheap labor dries up and the employers howl like wounded animals, a sensible solution to this problem will emerge. If Americans didn't want workers from other countries to be here, they wouldn't be here.
