"Nobody making anything"
From an article on U.S. manufacturing output.
Even the pessimistic view shows China as only catching up. Apparently, somebody's making things somewhere out there in America.
Part of the problem may be confusing imports and exports with manufacturing, which overlooks that fact that the U.S. consumes a lot of its own production.
