If the sun dawns on Wednesday with a 60-seat Democratic Senate, an even larger majority in Congress, and Obama as president, things will get very quiet for a while as the Democrats digest the total power they've been lusting for for years.
You will no longer hear about "division of power" from Democrats. You will only hear that term when they aren't in power.
After a bit of time, the House will begin. They will start slowly, putting out trial balloons. Things that advance Democratic goals, but aren't too controversial. The House still needs to be re-elected every two years. If they aren't slapped down, it will get more interesting.
Among the eventual goals:
--Nationalizing the health care system. This will be done incrementally, but irreversibly. A slow combination of increasing government programs, bringing more people under existing programs, and making more laws to make private solutions impossible.
--Shutting down the domestic energy industry again. The Democrats dodged a bullet on this one. Closing off offshore oil, this time for good, along with shale, and maybe even slamming restrictions on to coal. Nuclear power will be delegated to an eternal study committee, to be looked at for the next fifty years. Huge amounts of money will be spent on favored "alternative" energy ideas, including the ethanol industry. Anybody know how many years wind and solar have been subsidized already? How'd that work?
--Eliminating secret ballots in union elections. American unions, of which about a third of the members are Republicans, have been the largest single source of hard cash for Democratic coffers. It will be nice for the Democrats if that cash increases.
--Rubbing out the last wet bit of the alternative media. They can't touch Fox News, or the few conservative newspapers, but look for the Fairness Doctrine (probably attached to some other bill) to come down the pike fairly soon. The Left does not argue with opposition when it can destroy it. Limbaugh and the others have to go down. I doubt they'll succeed in slapping controls on the internet, but they will try.
--Crushing big business and the wealthy. Windfall profits taxes, excess wealth taxes, larger inheritance taxes, controls on CEO compensation, and probably things I can't even think of yet.
Obama is pretending he isn't going to do any of this. We'll see.
Incidentally, for your information, the Bush tax cuts were across the board. Mine will run out, too. Some of which will be replaced, perhaps, by Obama's alms, as long as I remain in a favored constituency, and don't become one of the enemy by becoming too successful.

Okay, here's what happens.
