Anyway, if you actually listen to it, its pretty darn clear there is a lot of cut-and-paste going on (with a lot of eerie music, which just guarantees that its not, you know, some sort of political hit job of selective quoting). The transcript does not make that clear- it should.

Also, head start is redistributive change. Welfare and unemployment insurance is redistribution of wealth. Roads and bridges are, NASA is, the military is... Making sure schools in the poorest neighborhoods have something close to the resources of the richest schools- thats redistribution of wealth.

Taxation is redistributive wealth.

Things like ERA, anti-discrimination laws for the workplace, affirmative action etc- these are all things that are economic justice issues- using legislation to address economic injustices.

If you listen to the recording, its clear in his tone that he was not criticizing the warren court as not radical enough, he was criticizing those who claimed it was somehow radical and pointing out that the warren court operated within the bounds of the constitution, as a few comparable courts did not, and were thus radical. Thats essentially a true and reasoned statement.

Words like 'redistributive change', 'redistribution of wealth' and 'economic justice' are not code words for OMFG!1!! SoCIALIsMM!1!!, no matter how hard you try to make the case- they apply to any society with taxation and any level of social safety net
