The real reason you can't stand me is that I outgun you. You don't have what it takes for a real discussion of an issue.

You don't like actual opposition. It's why you fled to forums "where guys like Tom can't push their crap." Forums where "controversy" consists of various shades of the same color, and nobody will ever challenge anyone's basic premises.

I get grief where others here don't, because I can and do nail stupid and/or false ideas to the wall, and bring facts to back it. You know, what you call "trivia." I pull McLuhan out from behind the sign, and that's what some people can't deal with.

Kos is famous for "scrubbing" their site of things that don't fit their agenda. I posted comments there for a short time, and found myself wiped from the board. No problem--it's their board--but let's not pretend they have any tolerance at all for those who are "not of the body." At least here all opinions are welcome.

I posted for a while on Kevin Drum's blog, too, until a commenter started threatening my wife by name. It's one reason I became more circumspect about my identity out there.

This is how the Left deals with opposition. They do it nations too, when they manage to get enough power.

Someone like Tom on the other hand truly has the ability though to swing the fence sitters, people that aren't truly strong in developing their own convictions - followers. We have a few of those on HZ. I've watched as Tom has convinced them of some outright lies. For that reason, he must be challenged every time he distorts the truth and presents his hand-picked trivia as fact.

Obviously you think you have a mission to help the poor unwashed who don't believe in your "truth." I hope they appreciate you being willing to stoop to help them.
