This web based related article does include the visual comparison of teh two plans and commenta again indicating to me the Jupiter team is not focusing on Mars. As Griffen says in the link above, it's obviously easier to design a cheaper system if you dump requirements. It's not cheaper to design a lift vehicle for teh moon then a new one to get to Mars if you want to do both and can with only a modest increase over a luna only version.
I really want to see someone from the Jupiter team address this. Are they truly saving money to meet all the goals of the constellation plan or just to go back to the Moon?
