...now the middle class are the self appointed autocracy???
And they are being wiped out by the rich guys because...
...they own too many single family homes?
My goodness man, you're starting to lose it. ;-)
Those single family homes and lifestyle are what keeps the rich folks rich. The mortgages, the construction industry, the furnishings, the major appliances and brown goods (electronics) that fill the home, the electricity it consumes, its closets that are filled with clothes and all the way down to the pets and their pet food.
The rich STAY rich when they have a large middle class to SELL to. Russia is very educational on what happened to marketed goods when everything was socialized. The demand and ability to buy anything more than vodka, toilet paper, and cuts of fat-laden meat was very limited.
Take away the middle class and the rich can only sell to each the other.
Follow the power ER...and then the money.
Who benefits without a middle class?
Do the poor benefit? No. ( by default with no MC they will remain poor forever)
Do the rich benefit? No. (they cannot sustain wealth without a healthy market to replenish it)
Does the government and "self appointed" powers that be benefit? YES!
So the wiping out of the middle class only benefits the few folks who want power to wield over the vast majority.
The middle class is the "educated" class. The only folks who can see the nationalists and socialists for what they really are - charlatans on a power grabbing trip.
