When capitalists misbehave - I take notice. Because it eventually comes home to roost - like now, for example. The notion that all Rand capitalists love all CEOs and worship at the altar of big business is a farce. More than ever, pseudo-capitalists infest the markets and are basically glorified criminals. They don't believe in market economics - they believe in looting from the big piles of established wealth. The easy and "legal" way to quick riches.
The solutions to these abuses is regulated free-markets, a powerful antitrust agency that keeps noses clean and a media that keeps track of the corporate frauds and fraudsters by looking at the looted companies and shareholders in their wake. The SEC needs meatier laws and more personnel.
So the bottom line is I'm not some neo-fascist and I'm not some Marxist - I'm just painfully honest and point out the human mistakes wherever I may see them. Politics are corrupted. Markets are corrupted. All symptoms of the same disease: shortsightedness and ignoble selfishness (as opposed to Randian Selfishness
;-)
