Tie the incentives to closing the foreign operations of the electronic tech industry and returning the jobs to our citizens.
This one area would go a long way toward solving the unemployment problems. Eventually replace the incentive money with higher prices for all electronics products. It seems to me we have sold our soul for cheaper computers and HD TV. It would be nice to speak to english speaking tech reps and if the products cost 30% more it might create more jobs in our now non-existent electronics repair industry.
I paid around $2K for a Gateway desktop computer in 1995 and that is the most I have ever paid for a computer. I paid over $1K for a 32" color TV in the eighties and I can buy a 42" HDTV for less than that today. It seems we need jobs more than we need cheap disposable products
I just don't understand it. Full employment tends to eliminate the need for higher taxes, yet we are farming out jobs to India and others that could pay good salaries to Americans. I am sure there are other areas in addition to electronics. Other than designer items, the cost of clothing has gotten so cheap I could almost afford to throw away basic clothing items after one wearing.
I know that a consumer economy creates wealth but it doesn't work when there are no jobs to be had. Everything is great if we are creating new higher paying jobs in new industries but I don't see the new jobs coming on line.

Why not bring back our jobs
