Totally agree.
I bought a microwave oven and couldn't get over the fact that it cost only $49. Thinking back 30 years ago, it would have sold for over $150.
What's the point of using "slave labor" if we become the slaves?
If you have to spend a bit more for a product made in the USA you have the option using credit or, heaven forbid, saving for it.
With the loss of manufacturing jobs, so to went the middle rungs of the career ladder. I know a very well-off Microsoft Employee who worked her way up from shipping and receiving- when their software was manufactured in house. Those opportunities vanished when production move to Malaysia.
