Sour grapes has an exact meaning.

It's based on bitterness over things you don't or can't have. That could be success, wealth, skill, good looks, or many other things.

I have my quirks, but if you can find anyplace where I've expressed "sour grapes" over someone who's better off than I am, feel free to point it out.
