That's bullshit. I define success as meeting my obligations with enough left over for my amusement and to set aside for emergencies. By that criterion, my life is a complete success. No, I'm not saying I wouldn't like more. What I'm saying is that I can still be happy without it.
For some people, that is never enough. They always want more, and what's more, they have nothing but contempt for anyone who isn't just like them.
