Yes, we know about the Inquisition, the Crusades, the Salem witch trials, etc. Believe me, as an atheist, the historical record of Christianity sickens me. What sickens me more is when people ignore the rise of another Abrahamic religion today that is generally much more radical, violent and oppressive todaythan how Christianity is mostly practiced worldwide today. Get back to me when Christian armies are ethnically cleansing parts of Africa, Christian suicide bombers are turning women and children at the local market into meaty confetti, Christian "freedom fighters" are beheading captive prisoners alive and screaming etc.
