think that 38,000 people who spent their whole lives in a society more
advanced than ours will suddenly want to go on an eternal camping trip.
There has to be a balance.
Though once the technology comes in, most of us will also not want to
remain baseline humans. We already have plastic surgery, stomach
stapling, colored contact lenses, and lots of other things to change the
way nature made us. Imagine when we can really enhance and change
ourselves.
