The most wonderful thing about ignorant claims are that they are easy to refute.

Point 1)
The ice mass is not just measured by pictures from satellites- there are LIDAR measurements, gravity field measurements, measurements made on the ground and from airplane... they all show the same thing. You would know this if you had spent 5 minutes googling prior to posting.

Point 2)
Techie's claim that "We don’t take temperatures in enough places to get within 20-30 degrees of the actual number. " is positively delusional.
Here is a list of ~7000 stations that are part of just one network:
https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/stdata/v3.temperature.inv.txt
And here is publicly available web interface to station data from a small subset of those stations:
https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/stdata/

There are 3 other vast networks that are used, again they show the same thing:

Scientists use four major datasets to study global temperature. The UK Met Office Hadley Centre and the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit jointly produce HadCRUT4 .

In the US, the GISTEMP series comes via the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Sciences (GISS), while the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) creates the MLOST record. The Japan Meteorological Agency ( JMA) produces a fourth dataset.

Here’s how global temperatures in the four datasets compare over the past 130 years. You can see they all show a warming trend, but there are some year-to-year differences too.

Additionally there are satellite measurements...

Point 3)
Techie claimed: "Attribution of greenhouse gases to supposed temperature increases is more BS."
It is very basic physics, increasing the CO2 and Methane in the atmosphere WILL increase the temperature. This is not BS, nor does it take a BS or PhD in physics to understand this.

Techie claimed:"Like kindergarteners, the assumption that a location in space should maintain the same climate is asinine."
This comment makes no sense, no one is claiming this- not even kindergarteners.

Techie claimed "The magnetosphere migrates and with it an enormous electromagnetic field that reacts to sunlight. As the magnetosphere shifts and the depth and gauss of the field that reacts to sunlight changes over that “fixed location” – the temperature is going to change as well."

This confused gobbledygook again makes no sense... techie seems to think the magnetosphere somehow blocks light from the sun? Its complete nonsense... the magnetosphere is studied in incredible detail and no, it is not somehow responsible for the warming we have seen- indeed, there really isnt a credible mechanism - based in reality- by which it could have such an effect...

Point 4)
MAGMA? Are you seriously suggesting global warming is due to MAGMA, Techie?! So now seismologists are in on the coverup?

MAGMA?
Seriously?!

Sorry techie, I know you THOUGHT you were bringing your A-GAME, but you failed miserably....

Even TB is shaking his head and wishing you would shut up... you are an embarrassment... I am starting to think ER's theory may be correct...
