That's a pretty silly response, Tom. You brought it up. What I object to is the use of a substance-free smear, dark insinuation variety. Yes, yes, I know you didn't actually say anything, and that's the artistry in this kind of smear: You rely on your audience knowing you well enough to be able to fill in the blanks and reasonably speculate on what you really mean with a high degree of certainty. Not that it's rocket science: You imply that if a person "really" knew about General Sanchez, he wouldn't have any credibility because of whatever dark fact is tarnishing his reputation.
Lindy seems to understand the context, that for the general in charge of Iraq at the time that the Abu Ghraiyb (sp? damn) story broke to call for a truth commission is extraordinary. In stark contrast to your insinuation, that sounds like somebody with nothing to hide.

It's not my insinuation

- General Sanchez wants War Crimes Truth Commission
- He'd better be careful.
- You don't even remember who Sanchez, is, do you?
- There are several prerequisites for something like that.
