The dents from slings and arrows were likely self inflicted, I never was good at archery
It was a complex situation and one which has taken, and is taking, a lot of working through and thankfully is way outside most peoples experiences. But I got through it when working full time, bringing up my family and doing my BSc. Despite it, I don’t see it as superhero stuff as anybody with grit and determination could do it, the only thing I’m proud of is my children being ok despite it, one is now doing her MSc and the other is following on in a similar academic career. They are doing well and happy and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
