I've learned a lot lately about subsonics and volcanic eruptions, magma movement, bubbles in the volcanic vent, etc.
Tornados also have a subsonic component. Years ago there was research into subsonic sensors as a warning system. Haven't kept up on my reading on that.
But I believe that these frequencies, both acoustic and seismic, explains animal behavior before earthquakes and big storms.
I also think humans pick up on them, but they are on a sub conscious level. Like we were talking about earlier about intuition. Our brains sense it but we don't know what it is so it comes out as deep emotions.
