Current Events » in reply to Sen. Kirk on why this health care reform bill should be supported

"Reform"

Not sure I've seen a greater perversion of the word, but this article proves the point I made in my earlier posts, even outlining the specific mechanisms for enslaving the private insurance industry.

A shorter version:

^My friends, have patience. This bill will put a hammerlock around the necks of the private insurance companies, and force conditions on them that will make it impossible for them to survive.

Step Two, forced by Step One, will be the real goal, total eventual control of the State over the entire health care industry. Choice is an illusion - if left to themselves, Americans usually make the wrong choices, and we need to lead them to the right one.

Again, to all the progressives out there, who used to call themselves something else entirely, have patience. No, Obama did not remake America in our image as fast as we thought he would, but have patience. Our power over one more sector of society will be absolute soon enough. Then energy, then finance, then manufacturing, then everything else.^

I gotta say, Kirk is doing a good job of carrying on Kennedy's socialist legacy.
