Re: canola oil
I just checked. My milk is also 1 percent. I guess I've been buying it so long by the color of the carton that I haven't paid attention.
My wife is taking warfarin (on a temporary basis) and needs one good salad a day. I buy those Romaine hearts in a bag at the store, and chop them up (I'm our home's cook). It's a nice cut of lettuce. She likes those packaged nut/cherry/cranberry mixes on it. I like croutons and bacon bits.
I experimented with those packaged pre-peeled hard-boiled eggs. They work, but aren't as good as home-made ones. Very convenient to slice onto a salad though (I've got a wire egg cutter), or if you want one with a sandwich.
