Ouch: Comparing me to The Conceder?

On balance, I think I'd rather be compared to The Decider, cause at least you accomplish something, for better or worse.

I think that as your post unfolded, through all that cynicism, you ended up seeing what I see: Irreconcilable differences. Religious fanatics (counting radical political creeds as religion for practical purposes) cannot be reasoned with and don't just lack any interest in peaceful coexistence, they see it as a betrayal of their god/beliefs/same thing.

We must all stand separately, or hang (by the neck) together.

The things that red-staters hold dear will be disastrous in the 21st century. I want no part of a country whose people believe in creationism and deny climate change. I want nothing to do with an anti-intellectual people who scorn every form of learning but vocational ed and think teachers are overpaid. I will not support a nation that thinks that its military can solve every problem at gunpoint and turn back the clock to 1895 in the bargain.

Rather than say Americans wouldn't die for any cause, I'd say that we've moved beyond the need for suicide bombers, with our weaponized politicians. Who needs a suicide bomber's vest when one Senator can block even the most vitally-needed action? At the ratio of one Senator-bomber per 330 million victims, one US Senator is as devastating as at least a million al Qaeda suicide bombers.

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! ... ad nauseum.
