Some of my posts may make it sound like I've turned away from Obama but that's not the case. If the election were held today I'd vote Dem without hesitation. I still think his ideas are worthy and could be of great benefit to the country.
However, having said that, anyone with eyes and ears would know that Americans have generally rejected some of the most important parts of the Obama platform. That's fine...it's democracy in action, as they say. The fact that I disagree with it doesn't mean I can't accept it.
I think, in the end, most of what Obama puts into place will be reversed by future administrations. His view of America (and mine too, I guess) simply isn't in sync with the country at large, but of course accepting the will of the majority is part of democracy as well.
