Re: Glass half full...

Obama has done what he was paid to do. It has never been about achieving a successful socialist model - no such animal exists. All it was about was cutting American business at the kneecaps, while corrupting more businessmen and turning them into state-enabled thugs posing as businessmen.

It was about keeping America under water while China makes its final surge to dominate most production, control debt and shift from producer for US companies to producer for Chinese companies.

It was about having a President who would look the other way while Iran goes nuclear.

It was about making sure new EPA regulations and mileage standards would be enacted to make sure the US auto industry never rises from the ashes.

Obama has been a success.

Sure, he know's he's hated by both sides and by any unemployed American (about 40 million of them last I checked) He know's he's a 1-termer, but it doesn't matter.

We'll survive. We always do. But the nation is just getting weaker and weaker. The demographics point towards a 3rd world US and it's already happening. The borders allow non--citizens to live here without anyone seriously trying to stop them or enforce our sovereignty. The schools are dumbed down to the point where it's a success story if a kid graduates - and can read and speak English.

The doctors are now foreign imports. Our scientific community is in serious decline and our technological leadership is now seriously in in question.

The space program Obama has shot down. The healthcare abomination is going to tax the infrastructure to bursting. Life expectancy will go down as the food the nation consumes is simply made to feed the masses as cheaply as possible.

I know everything has a good side too. All the se depressing events and statistics can serve a greater good in a longer-term picture. So while America is shooting itself in the foot now, perhaps it will lead to a new type of American that closer resembles the innovative, optimistic, hard-working, honest 'idealized' American culture of the 'Dick & Jane' era.

If not...maybe some other nation can learn from America's mistakes. As we tried to learn from the fall of Rome, Athens, Russia and the United Kingdom.

Hope everyone here is doing fine. 😉
