Flame » in reply to San Francisco bans Happy Meals

ROFLMAO

"And she added: "We are extremely proud of our Happy Meals which give our youngest guests wholesome food and toys of the highest quality. Getting a toy with a kid's meal is just one part of a fun, family experience at McDonald's.""

Along with getting obese kids. McDonalds doesn't care about that, though. However, that said, I don't think they should have banned them. Instead, educate kids from Grade 1--hell, kindergarten--and teach them to eat right so they make the right choices. You know they're going to fucking go for the fat and salt and high carbs. They're kids! It is our responsibility to teach them better and their parents' responsibility to forbid them from eating crap, except on very special and rare occasions. Parents are abrogating their rights to the governments. If they want their rights, they need to exercise them responsibly so the governments don't have a leg to stand on when trying to ban something like this.

IOW, don't blame this on government. Blame where blame belongs, squarely on the backs of parents.
