Time to bring the troops home.
Iraq is standing on its own feet now. Afghanistan is too corrupt and incompetent to keep throwing money at, and Europe is long past needing our troops there to defend them. Use 30,000 of those troops to defend our southern border and some of the savings to rebuild fortress North America that we had during the Cold War. Reopening some of the closed military bases to house incoming forces would revitalize a lot of communities across the country.
I'd also like to see at least 1,200 F-22s built to protect the continent's airspace from any potential future threat.
