I haven't taken anyone's side. And assuming the word "illegal loggers" means exactly that, they should be stopped from what they're doing regardless of who or what lives on the land they're poaching. I'm cynical enough to believe that if these loggers are bending or breaking the rules, the government of Peru is probably in on it. I do know that the government of Brazil has done a lot of things to "help" people rip up rainforest. Building free roads, for starters.
What I have a problem with is the "keep these people in the Stone Age" idealism.
