No, the research was very good and well-presented. The point I was making was that the rhetoric in meetings and speeches had little to do with the reality of the execution and the fundamental concepts of the leaders involved.

Emphasis mine. Good Lord, don't you know when someone is slinging bullshit to potential supporters? What the hell else would Hitler tell business leaders he wanted loot from? This particular quote is from Funk's Nuremberg testimony from a meeting in 1931, when Hitler still had to work through the electoral process.
