Clarification

Dreams are not necessarily something you have to interpret because that is actually going at it backward, retracing if you will. The point was that chemical messengers are busy doing things in your body that will result in dreams which may represent something going on in your life. Sometimes they may also be something like a "comfort" food, and could reflect your state of mind or could be trying to facilitate moving into that state of mind. Nightmares are generally reflections of something that is frightening to you. Because a symbol may represent something in one person's mind, it could be something totally different to another person. You like snakes (you sick puppy, you! 😉) then they will represent something nice to you, something comfortable or something fun. But it begins with the chemicals. When one has a moment of realization (the Aha! moment), endorphins are released in your brain and that will make you feel good. Those endorphins are why a lot of people do dreamwork, even if they don't realize it. They're addicted to the endorphins, just like exercise over-doers are addicted to exercise because of the endorphins.
