You have neatly evaded answering my question, which was a serious one, even if raised in jest.
I can understand how people tend to favor policies for everyone that also happen to be in their own self-interest. It's not even hypocritical, it's natural and very human to see only the general good in what will benefit you, and nothing but the public evil of that which will not.
What you still haven't addressed is why are all those rich liberal rock stars, movie actors, media moguls, college professors and class-traitor businessmen so ready to have their taxes go up, for the public good. Even if they do have the facts wrong, why do they feel this way?
