Raoul, you're right that the Current Events board has in some ways taken on the characteristics of the Flame board.
Though it may get me labeled weak and a coward, I agree that responding to certain posts is pointless. There is nothing to be gained by being dragged down to a lower level. Here is where I do agree with E'. While civility prevails, ideas can be discussed. If the language deteriorates, so does the discussion.
We waste enough time on the Web and in the real world with endless debates on the issues. We ought to at least get something out of it when we choose to answer 'the other side,' regardless of which side we're talking about.
