<Raoul, you're right that the Current Events board has in some ways taken on the characteristics of the Flame board.

And I truly apologize for keeping a lot of those threads going.
Perhaps it's because I started looking in on the MSNBC boards with a growing sense of horror at the mentality of certain Americans.
Perhaps its because I got fed up (here) with the constant "Liberals indoctrinate all our kids....", "Liberals want to point a gun to your head....", "Liberals believe everything Noam Chomsky says and are therefore terrorist sympathisers....", blah, blah, blah.

That isn't a argument, it isn't debate and it definitely isn't civil discourse.

Perhaps Mary Anne got sick of the implication that she was an evil person, since everyone here would associate her with being somewhat liberal.

I too did not see any "personal attacks" as a few people have thrown their hands in the air with a "Wasn't me". Just attacks on about 50% of the population, that's all.
