I think there is a big difference. Your ancestors were vassals of their own kind. The blacks were a slave race to a culture not their own.

I do agree with your comments that the black leaders seem intent on perpetuating the stigma as a bargaining chip.

Many other minorities, including Asian immigrants with far fewer cultural tools than native-born blacks, do just fine in our "white culture."



It is also an interesting fact that black immigrants from other nations are often far more successful in America than native-born blacks



Yes but we have a deference to immigrants working in a second language that we do not have for our own black citizens.

Thomas Sowell and many others would be interested in knowing that they are supposed to have trouble with "verbal skills."

Sure there are exceptions. We need to find out why the exceptions are not the norm. One of the problems was the influx of incompetent teachers from the segregated system. This has been a problem for both races. I don't think the problem is genetic but it must be recognized as a learning problem and not racism.
