It has been my experience that when a liberal makes a comparison between conservatives and Nazis, that is exactly what he meant. If he didn't mean it, why did he say it? Your trying to make excuses for what he plainly wrote does not in any way detract from what came across in that post. Words mean things, and comparisons to "Mein Kampf" are the same thing as calling someone a Nazi.
"Nazi" is the political equivalent of the racial "N" word, both extremely provocative and extremely offensive. If someone called you a racial slur to your face, you too would be insulted. In legal terms, those would be "fighting words".
I jumped in his excrement precisely because his post was so mortally offensive to me. I will not apologize for what I said. If that means being banned, so be it.
Why is it in these days of so-called Political Correctness that I'm supposed to walk on egg shells for fear of offending someone but am just supposed to suck it up when they offend me? Is that what PC is really all about, a "heads I win, tails you lose" effort to stiffle dissenting opinion? It sure seems that way. To disagree is to be called "intolerant", which is pretty much the same as calling someone a bigot.
