Like you, I just assumed Mary Anne was tired of the direction I was taking the thread, and wanted to go on to something else. I think it would take a whole lot more than a tirade from me to chase her off a board.
I admire her and her posts, and we have gone back-and-forth a number of times. I hope I didn't offend her, but if someone of her obvious intelligence is going to slap a post on the board claiming that the reason there are so many more liberals on college faculties than conservatives is because the liberals are just more "saintly," then she should expect a couple of banana cream pies tossed in her direction.
I think she'll be back.
