I don't usually visit this board. What's the point? See people wale on each other?

But I'm glad there's a place for people to vent and blow off steam. Otherwise, I would never have read your post.

I see myself as a moderate, but I realize because the membership of this board falls well to the right that I must appear to be quite liberal. My solution? Only if I care enough about an issue, only if I feel I might possibly inform people that there's another point-of-view out there, do I ever post from my 'liberal' perspective. Otherwise, why bother? It will only lead to - what else? - fights and flame wars.

I have always enjoyed Mary Anne's posts and had no idea any of this was going on. Thanks for taking a principled and heartfelt stand for someone you respect and care about.

I will miss her, too, and I hope very much that she comes back.
