Here's Christina Hoff Summers' view on this treaty. Ask yourself "Self, precisely what does elimination of sexism mean. And who decides?" The UN etc. are famous for promulgating nice sounding concepts with ambiguous interpretations. Opposing these feel good treaties is tantamount to answering "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"
