Re: Convention on discrimination of women

yes this document basically says all prostitution should be legal since laws against prostitution discriminate against women and our "friends" would see fit to use our signing this document as some international club to beat the US Constitution.

The majority of the world supports prostitution, however in the US, outside of Nevada, such activity is generally frowned upon as a way of weakening the family and spreading disease and crime.

The US Constitution adequately covers the womens issues and rights already - the document is redundant and is only needed in the third world. However, the overly-ambitious authors always go overboard in their provisions and Article 2 is so comprehensive and simultaneously vague - that you know some rabid feminazi lawyers crafted the wording so as to make almost any issue with a women be untouchable and almost afford women more rights than men.

That makes the document almost an affirmative action type scenario where overcompensation spoils the spirit and purpose of the whole endeavor.

I am not going to lose any sleep if the US does not sign it.
