Wrong side if history?

With all due respect, LarryJ......even us arch liberals know that some Iraqis want to be free. Certainly the ones living the furthest away from Bagdad. But this pre-emptive war was not laid out for us that our 200,000 soldiers would have to put every Iraqi through some paper sieve, and designate him "liberated", "possibly liberated", "maybe liberated", "hostile", "possibly hostile", etc...
It looks like we'll have to go through every darn Iraqi, pat him down, discuss matters with him and then figure out what to do with them. Feed them? Liberate them? Educate them? Jail them? Keep them for further questioning? Shoot them?

Well, what happens when we get to Bagdad?
It's a bean counters nightmare!
Our American troops will have INS "Freedom Iraq" stamped on their armbands.
No, this guerilla warfare is an AWESOME task. And there won't be thousands taken "prisoner", but millions....or what's left of them.

Bowser is irreverent.
And he's amusing.
I find his sarcasm rather alleviates some of the tension around here.
And he gets his point across.
Sorry it gets under your skin, but I think he's right.
Some people remain positive that this war will go in our favor.
I say we'll have to do a lot more damage before we even get it under control.
It looks like it needs a complete routing.

I wish I could be more positive.
But the Baath party, the Republican Guard and all those left willing to fight for Iraq, what will we do with them?
There will be THOUSANDS OF THEM, maybe even hundreds of thousands of them.
What do you propose we DO with them?
Soldiers left guarding installations and food routes will be in dangerous straights from starving Iraqi civilians. No, we haven't even begun this "war".

Shouldn't have started it in the first place.
Bush bad.
Men behaving badly.
Bush and Hussein.
