Nanotech no solution to habitability problem

Phil, I can see no solution to the severe radiation barrier to terra-forming coming from nanotechnology. If you have one please cough it up and save me the re-write.

As far as manned Mars flight goes, the amazing thing to me is that manned Mars flight was always linked to terra-forming, although that was never officially clearly stated by anyone, as near as I know. That said, that the two were always linked both in official hopes and in the pubic mind is abundantly documented.
