The dream of space is.....fading away
Can a budget cutter still perform science and technology and fulfill the dream of space?
Unfortunately, Al Qaeda is not into rocket technology; there is no technological challenge from that enemy.
50 years ago, the Soviet Union was challenging the West in the technology field; that's how the US won the Moon race and has a shuttle now. One might say whatever he wants about the Soviet regime, but the fact is that without it, we would not have been on the Moon.
The question is: is going to space anymore part of the American culture?
